Outline of Research at the Start

加齢黄斑変性は、発症機構に『眼の老化』が密接に関わり、また、肥満による脂質代謝異常がリスク因子と考えられているが、その分子メカニズムは未解明なままである。申請者は肝細胞老化による眼内グリア細胞の老化促進が加齢黄斑変性の病態形成に寄与する可能性を考え、本研究を立案した。シングルセルリピドミクス解析を駆使した脂質組成の分析並びに老化グリア細胞のエピゲノム解析を進め、肥満による加齢黄斑変性発症機構の解明を目指す。
