Outline of Research at the Start

本研究は悪心による条件付け嫌悪記憶の形成と塗り替えを加速する機序を神経生理学的方法で解明し、心因性悪心・嘔吐の機序に迫り、「摂食障害」や「悪心・嘔吐で歯科治療が困 難な症例」の新たな行動療法を創出するために、「悪心と嘔吐の誘発機序とその制御に関す る新たな概念を樹立する」ことを目指す。これまでの独自の研究から、脳幹および上位脳に 存在する悪心誘発機序について重要な示唆を得ており、これを追究することを突破口にして研究を展開する。社会貢献として、 味覚嫌悪記憶の塗り替え機序を応用することにより、「歯科恐怖症」などの心因性の病態の新たな治療法開発へ寄与できる可能性を期待している。
