Outline of Research at the Start

生体内において細胞外基質が細胞外微小環境の維持に大きく寄与することが示唆されている。しかし、その分子機序は未だ不明な点が多い。細胞外基質を構成する5型コラーゲンは、歯根膜組織においても存在するため、歯根膜の多様な細胞集団の機能に影響を及ぼしている可能性が高い。5型コラーゲンは特に炎症との関連が示唆されることから、本研究では細胞外微小環境を制御する因子としての5型コラーゲンが歯根膜において炎症制御に及ぼす影響を解明することを目指す。
