| Outline of Research at the Start |
高齢になると、口の機能が低下してしまうことが多く、それが体の衰えや筋肉の減少、そして介護が必要になるリスクに繋がると言われています。そこで、健康な高齢者を対象に口の機能を高める運動を続けてもらい、その前後で飲み込みやすさや噛む力、食べ物を細かくすり潰す能力、そして栄養の取り方などにどんな変化があるかを調べる予定です。得られる研究結果をもとに、高齢者がより健康に長生きするお手伝いができるよう情報を発信し、医療費の削減や地域による健康格差の改善にもつなげたいと考えています。
