Outline of Research at the Start

高齢化が進む我が国では、骨折、悪性腫瘍等の骨関連疾患が増加の一途をたどっている。腫瘍の摘出や顎骨の区域切除などによる生じる骨欠損部の再生には、現在人工骨や薬剤が使用されているが、十分とは言えない。これらの抱える問題点として体内で散逸・溢出するため必要な場所に必要な期間留置できないことがあげられる。本研究では、湿性硬組織接着性をもつ体内吸収性材料「リン酸化プルラン」を用いて、接着性、強度、吸収性、遺伝子発現が歯槽骨再生に与える影響・メカニズムを明らかにし、材料、薬剤を患部に留め、効果を最大限発揮させる硬組織接着性ゲル状基材を開発する。
