Outline of Research at the Start

咀嚼機能には「よく噛めるかどうか」という咀嚼能力と，「よく噛んでいるかどうか」という咀嚼行動の２つの側面があり，生涯にわたって良好な咀嚼機能を獲得・維持することが重要である．しかし，評価ツールが確立されていなかったことから定量的に咀嚼機能の変化を示した報告はない．本検討課題では，幅広い年代層における咀嚼能力と咀嚼行動を定量的に明らかとし，咀嚼機能とBMIなどの全身因子との関連を検討する．
