Outline of Research at the Start

義歯性カンジダ症は超高齢社会の我が国で重要な口腔粘膜疾患である。本症は義歯に発生するデンチャープラーク（DP）が主因となるカンジダ症で、通常の知見では正確な病態把握が困難である。本研究では、カンジダ属真菌が産生するペプチド毒素「カンジダリシン（Clys）」の義歯性カンジダ症における病因的役割を解明する。Clysは口腔カンジダ症の主要な病原因子であり、腸管ではディスバイオーシスを引き起こすことが報告されている。DP形成過程をディスバイオーシスの観点から再検討し、Clysの役割を特定することで病態理解を刷新し、新規予防・治療法開発の基盤構築を目指す。
