Outline of Research at the Start

本研究の目的は，リハビリテーション装具としてのPAPの効果を科学的に立証して，その効果を引き起こすメカニズムを明らかにし，適応基準に関する科学的根拠を提示することである．
具体的には申請者の過去の報告に基づき，嚥下後の咽頭残留が認められる急性期脳卒中患者に対して，経口摂取回復のための間接訓練，直接訓練が開始された時期，すなわち脳神経系の障害による摂食嚥下障害が主として生じている時期にPAPを装着し，装着前後でのＶＦ検査，ＶＥ検査，嚥下CT検査，高解像度マノメトリー検査から得られたデータを装着前後で比較することで，PAP装着の効果に関する下図の仮説 を立証する．
