Outline of Research at the Start

早期口腔癌N0症例における後発頸部リンパ節転移は予後因子となり，その制御が極めて重要である．予防的頸部郭清術は侵襲が大きいため，近年海外ではセンチネルリンパ節生検が口腔癌にも導入されてきたが，ラジオアイソトープ（RI）法を用いたセンチネルリンパ節生検は放射線被爆や放射線管理区域の問題があった．そのため，蛍光法や磁性造影剤と磁気プローブを用いた磁気法による新しい低侵襲なセンチネルリンパ節生検を開発してきたが，RI法と同等の精度でセンチネルリンパ節生検が実施可能か明らかではない．磁気法/蛍光法とRT法との非劣性試験だけでなく，口腔癌頸部リンパ節微少転移の革新的早期診断法を確立する．
