Outline of Research at the Start	高コレステロール血症は心筋梗塞のリスク因子であるが、がんにおけるコレステロールの役割は良くわかっておらず研究途上である。肝でのコレステロール生合成にMIA2が関わることが報告されているが、代表者らはMIA2が血管・リンパ管新生や腫瘍免疫の抑制を促すことで、口腔癌の進展に関与することを見いだした。しかしながら、口腔癌におけるコレステロール代謝とMIA2の関連は不明である。本研究では、高コレステロール環境下における口腔癌でのMIA2の役割と機能を明らかにすると同時に、新たなMIA2関連脂質シグナル分子を網羅的に探索し、口腔癌の診断・治療への応用の可能性を模索する。
