Outline of Research at the Start

近い将来、骨の再生においても、幹細胞移植による再生医療が主体となることが予想される。しかし、顎骨再建術に見られるような広範の骨組織を再生するためには、単に間葉系幹細胞を移植しただけでは実現されず、根本的に解決しなければならないハードルが存在している。我々は、骨の再生には骨髄組織を構築することが必要であると考え、間葉系幹細胞の分化転換を免疫細胞との相互作用の観点から、明らかにすることを目的とする。
