Outline of Research at the Start

早期小児齲蝕（ECC）は母子感染に起因するバイオフィルム（B.F.）疾患である。その発症にはCandida albicansの強い関連が知られ、Streptococcus mutansと共に病原性を増加させながら、細菌・真菌複合B.F.を形成する。本研究では、B.F.と母子の臨床データとをリンクさせ、「バイオフィルムデータベース」を構築する。ECC患児とその母親の歯垢から複合B.F.を再構成し、その表現型を分類して歯垢提供者の臨床データと対応させることで、ECCの実態を包括的に理解する。本研究により母子感染に対する保健指導の進展、ECCリスク診断の精度向上を目指すことができる。
