Outline of Research at the Start

入院高齢患者に対する口腔健康管理は，患者本人の訴えのほか，医科担当医や看護師などからのコンサルテーションにより開始される場合が多く，口腔健康管理実施の必要性に対する定量的な指標については明らかではない．本研究は，定量的な口腔機能検査の結果をもとに，回復期リハビリテーション病院入院患者における専門的な口腔健康管理の必要性を判断するための，口腔機能の至適カットオフ値を解明する．本研究結果の臨床応用により，歯科の併設がない病院においても他職種による評価をもとに口腔健康管理の必要な患者の適切な選択が可能となり効果的かつ効率的な入院患者の口腔健康管理の実現につながることが期待される．
