Outline of Research at the Start

口腔内には400種類以上の口腔細菌が共存し、複雑な免疫システムによって調節されている。近年、口腔細菌叢の多様性がヒトの健康維持や疾患発症と関連していることが示唆されている。特に免疫グロブリンA（IgA）は、口腔細菌叢の恒常性維持に重要な役割を果たしている。一方、口腔細菌叢による刺激が唾液の分泌型IgA（SIgA）の産生に影響を与えていることが示唆されているが、どの細菌種がSIgAの産生を促し、調節しているのか不明な点が多い。そこで本研究では、唾液のSIgA産生を促す口腔細菌叢の探索とその検証を行うことを目的とする。
