Outline of Research at the Start	歯および口腔の健康と全身の健康との関連に関しては、まだまだ質の高いエビデンスや「国民皆歯科健診」の具体的な内容に関する検討が不足している。本研究では、われわれが構築した特定健診・歯科健診データベースを用いて、1）長期縦断コホート研究(歯周病および歯の欠損と、全身の健康との関連)、 2）仮説検証的疫学研究(歯周病と関節リウマチ、認知症、骨粗鬆症等との関連に関する疫学研究)、3）歯周病以外の歯科口腔健診結果と全身の健康との関連に関する疫学研究(口腔乾燥と GERD、舌のボリュームと誤嚥など) 4「国民皆歯科健診」実施に関する検討:歯科医師の健診に代えられる検査法(唾液検診) の検討を行う。
