Outline of Research at the Start

本研究では、遺伝情報の不当な利用に焦点をあて、生命保険契約における「不当な差別」と「合理的な区別」の線引きを明確にすることを目的とする。保険会社が契約者全体の利益を守るために遺伝情報を用いた“危険選択”を不当な差別として禁止すべきか、あるいは合理的な区別として許容すべきかについて、現在の行われている危険選択の実態との公平性を含めて検討し、提言を作成を目指す。本研究の成果は、不当な差別のない社会に寄与し、ゲノム医療推進の一歩になると確信する。
