Outline of Research at the Start

小児がんの約8割が治癒するようになったが、二次がんは晩期合併症の中でも時に致命的であり、生涯早期発見・早期治療に努めなければならない。一方で成人期以降受診を中断するロストオブフォローアップ(LOF)症例が増加しているため、がん検診の必要性を確実に本人に伝え行動変容に導く方策が欠かせない。そこで申請者は「LOFの小児がんサバイバーが再度病院受診し、二次がん検診を柱としたヘルスケア再構築への方策を探索する」事と、「我が国における小児がんの二次がん検診における適切な指針の開発」を目的とした実証的研究を計画した。
