Outline of Research at the Start

本研究は、日本屈指の超高齢地域である高知県をモデルケースとして、死因として多い肺炎の中でも医療・介護関連肺炎における誤嚥性肺炎に着目し、薬剤耐性菌対策や抗菌薬選択に有用な微生物疫学および抗菌薬治療の患者予後改善効果を明らかにすることを目的としている。超高齢地域における薬剤耐性菌対策や抗菌薬選択に関わる先見的な知見を構築し情報発信を行うことで、今後の超高齢社会を背景とした日本特有の医療問題への対応として有益な結果を還元できる。
