Outline of Research at the Start	本研究は、重症COVID-19患者に対して実施されるECMO（体外式膜型人工肺）治療の予後および費用対効果を、日本のリアルワールドデータを用いて明らかにすることを目的とする。ECMOは高額な医療資源を必要とする治療であり、その医療経済学的評価は我が国における医療政策上の重要課題である。2024年より連結解析が可能となった感染症関連情報データベースおよび匿名医療保険等関連情報データベースを活用し、診療行為と転帰、医療費を統合的に解析することで、特に院内死亡率と費用を明示し、今後の新興感染症パンデミックに備えた費用対効果分析の枠組みを構築し、実効性のある医療資源配分に資する科学的根拠を提供する。
