Outline of Research at the Start

新型コロナウイルス感染症（COVID-19）の世界的流行は、変異ウイルスの出現や地球温暖化に伴う環境変動の影響を受け、各国で包括的なリスク管理体制の構築が求められている。研究代表者らは、科研費（基盤C）を受けて独自に構築した時系列解析法を用いて日本のCOVID-19新規陽性者数を分析し、予防接種の導入や人口規模が流行変動に影響することを定量的に示した。今後は日本47都道府県、東南アジア10ヵ国、北欧フィンランドを対象に、変異株の出現、気象変動、社会的対策などの影響も加味して予測モデルを構築する。さらに他感染症への波及効果も検討する。
