Outline of Research at the Start

タイ国北部においてミャンマーとの国境を越えて流入する難民・移民の健康課題について継続的に研究を実施し成果を上げてきた。ミャンマーは2021年2月クーデター以降、治安情勢が依然として不安定であり、紛争や政治的混乱から逃れた人々が国境を超えて、タイ北部の難民キャンプや周辺の街で非正規移民として暮らすなど、人口の流入が続いている。
本研究課題では、隣国とは言え言葉も文化も異なるミャンマーからの難民・移民を実際に受入れサービスを提供する保健医療者のキャパシティ・ビルディングに焦点を当て、保健医療者のキャパシティ・ビルディングと包括的な支援サービスの提供を図る。
