Outline of Research at the Start

周産期うつ病は、女性の妊娠から産後１年間に生じる疾患であるが、男性も女性の周産期に高率にうつ状態を呈することが明らかとなっている。我々はこれまでに、女性の評価にもとづく男性周産期うつ病の新規スクリーニングシステム（日本語版EPDS-P）を開発し、また「男性の周産期うつ外来」を新規開設し、家族単位の周産期メンタルヘルス支援に取り組んできた。その過程で周産期うつ病に陥っている男性の援助希求に対する心理社会的な障壁が存在することが徐々に分かってきた。このため、援助希求への心理社会的障壁と予想される要因について、その実態と関連因子を解明し、より効果的な支援体制の確立を目指す研究を計画している。
