2020年2月頃から新型コロナウイルス感染症(COVID-19)の拡大に伴い、自粛生活の長期化や「3 密」の回避、マスクの着用など生活様式が変化した。コロナ禍の外出自粛による孤立がサルコペニアや認知機能低下、栄養の偏りや運動不足等による生活習慣病の発生や悪化、フレイルの進行など健康二次被害を引き起こしている。そして、健康二次被害が COVID-19感染拡大後に回復したかどうかの検証はこれからの課題である。そこで、地域の中高年女性を対象とし、COVID-19感染拡大前、拡大中、拡大後の３期間に分けて生活習慣病指標の変化を比較し、COVID-19感染拡大が健康へどのような影響を及ぼしたかを検証する
