新型コロナ感染症を受けて,手洗いや手指消毒,手袋の着用の機会は激増した.それに伴い,手指の皮膚のバリア機能は低下し,手荒れや手湿疹を引き起こしている現状がある．
手湿疹はウェットワークが誘因となるとされており,手湿疹とウェットワークに関連する研究は,手洗いや手指消毒剤の使用については報告があるものの手袋に焦点を当てた研究はない.手袋の着用は,刺激からの皮膚の保護という観点と手荒れや手湿疹の誘因のひとつであるとの観点の両面があると考えた．
そこで本研究では,手袋の着用が皮膚のバリア機能に及ぼす影響と手袋の材質による影響について生理学的指標を用いた基礎的研究に着手することとした．
