Outline of Research at the Start

医療機関内の医療機能により緩和ケアや療養の体制は異なり、終末期医療の質を評価する際に病院内の医療機能の違いに着目することは医療政策上で重要な視点である。本研究課題は、NDB等の医療ビッグデータを活用して全国の終末期がん患者の療養場所や医療の実態を医療機能別に示し、医療機能による終末期医療の質の比較や終末期医療に関する地域医療構想の評価を行うことを目的とする疫学研究である。本研究の成果を通じて、高齢多死社会における医療機能ごとの終末期医療の質や療養場所の意思決定支援に資する政策的提言の創出を目指す。
