ピアサポートは「同様の経験をしている対等な仲間同士の支え合いの営みのすべて」と定義されており、「精神障害にも対応した地域包括ケアシステム」においても推進すべき支援として挙げられている。日本は少子高齢化により、医療・福祉業においても人手不足の発生が予測されている。ピアサポート活動は貴重な社会的資源であり、ピアサポート活動の促進は喫緊の課題と言える。
本研究では、当事者側と団体側の実情を明らかにし、地域精神保健におけるピアサポート活動促進のための支援プログラムを構築する。本研究によって構築されたプログラムをモデルケースとして提示することで、地域精神保健におけるピアサポート活動の推進に寄与できる。
