Outline of Research at the Start

高齢者の「フレイル」が社会的に問題である一方で、90歳以上超高齢者でありながら健やかに生活している「非フレイル超高齢者」も存在する。これまでの超高齢者研究では様々な長寿に関連する因子が明らかにされてきたが、文化的な側面に関連する因子は解明されていない。超高齢者の重んじてきた価値観や思想を育んだ書物等を検証し、健康寿命の延伸のモデルとなる非フレイル超高齢者の形成過程を明らかにする。
本研究の成果は、超高齢化の進むわが国において、健康寿命の延伸を目指す社会の構築に貢献する。
