Outline of Research at the Start

難民・避難民らは移住後、母国での経験、移住のプロセス、受け入れ国での異文化適応においてメンタルヘルスの問題を抱えやすく重篤な状況に陥るまで受診しないことが多い。単に誰もがアクセスしやすいメンタルヘルス・サービスの整備のみならず、難民・避難民らが異文化適応の過程で抱えやすいメンタルヘルスの問題について知り、予防や対処行動を起こすための「メンタルヘルス・リテラシー」を高めていく支援も必要ではないだろうか。本研究では難民・避難民の精神疾患に対する彼ら自身の認知、支援探索行動、医療サービス・アクセス制御因子を明らかにし、彼らの文化に見合った教育プログラムを開発することを目指す。
