Outline of Research at the Start

呼吸サルコペニアは地域の介護予防の新たな概念として注目されている．呼吸サルコペニアの診断には「呼吸筋力」と「呼吸筋量」の評価を行う必要があるが，呼吸筋力測定器や超音波診断装置などの医療機器を用いるため，操作には高い専門性が必要とされ，簡便に呼吸筋を評価できるスクリーニング評価は確立されていない．
そこで，2024年に我々は腹部の膨らむ量を測定するAE-maxという新たな呼吸筋の評価指標を考案しその測定指標に基づいた，器具を使用せず測定できる簡便な一次スクリーニング法を開発することとした．本研究ではそのスクリーニング開発と有効性の検証を主としている．
