Outline of Research at the Start	高齢者は加齢とともに安全に歩行することが困難となり転倒リスクが高まる。このため高齢者自らが転倒予防に主体的に取り組むことで活動レベルを維持していくことが課題であるといえる。しかし、歩行能力の低下を自覚した高齢者が転倒に恐怖感を抱いて外出などの活動を過度に自粛し更なる身体機能の低下をまねくことが問題視されている。そこで本研究では、高齢者自身が自らの老いをどのように自覚しながら転倒リスクに対処しているのかを明らかにして、高齢者の転倒への対処方略が転倒恐怖感や活動レベルを調整する効果を検証することでセルフケアの視点を導入した転倒予防の支援方法を開発する。
