Outline of Research at the Start

日本は人生100年時代を迎え、一人暮らし高齢者が増加している。後期高齢者の自殺率が高いことが報告されている。申請者らは、80歳以上一人暮らし男性高齢者のメンタルヘルス不調者の早期発見と早期介入は急務と考えた。スウェーデンは、高齢者の自立と尊厳を重視した在宅支援の成功例として国際的に注目されている。
本研究は消滅危惧集落の一人暮らし男性高齢者を対象に、日本とスウェーデンのメンタルヘルスの実態調査からメンタルヘルスケア対策と課題を明確にし、得られたデータを比較検討することにより、日本の一人暮らし男性高齢者のメンタルヘルスの課題を明確にし、看護師らが実践できるメンタルヘルス支援プログラムの開発する。
