自殺者の約4割は高齢者であり、高齢の介護者のうち3人に1人が「死にたい」と考えたことがあるとされ、高齢者の健康増進や自殺防止支援は重要な課題である。心身の虚弱は抑うつや自殺に繋がるとされているが、地域の包括的支援体制は十分機能しているとは言えない。本研究は、1県のKDB(国保データベース)システムのデータにより、地域の高齢者の自殺に関する分析を行うことと保健・福祉専門職の支援体制の現状を明らかにし、対象者に早期から適切な関わりを持つ体制を作り、包括的な高齢者自殺防止支援モデルを構築し、その検証を行うことである。
