| Outline of Research at the Start |
本研究は、呼吸リハビリが継続できなかった慢性閉塞性肺疾患（COPD）患者を身体的側面のみならず、心理的側面、社会的側面より分析する実証的研究である。病状安定期COPD患者を対象とし、短期（６か月）で離脱する者、ならびに長期（１年）で離脱する者の特性と、そこに内在する一定の法則性、共通性を客観的に検証することを目的とする。本研究成果を応用することで、「生涯にわたり継続して支援」していくことの実現、ひいては、COPD患者の健康寿命の延伸、生命予後の改善に寄与する社会的意義の大きい研究である。
