Outline of Research at the Start

申請者らの研究室では、脳梗塞慢性期は解糖系代謝の低下により脳実質のエネルギー源が枯渇するが、造血幹細胞移植治療を行うとエネルギー代謝の活性化が生じることを明らかにした。近年の再生医療発展に伴い、機能再建には細胞移植だけではなくリハビリテーション併用の重要性も注目されている。本研究では、エネルギー代謝の観点から、慢性期脳梗塞に対する造血幹細胞移植治療と運動（リハビリテーション）併用の治療効果とそのメカニズムを明らかにする。
