Outline of Research at the Start

高齢食道癌患者における術前補助化学療法中の身体的脆弱性の進行は、術後治療成績に大きく影響するアンメットメディカルニーズである。本申請課題は、高齢食道癌患者に対する術前補助化学療法中のプレハビリテーションの忍容性および有効性を検証することを目的とし、①単施設単アーム介入研究：介入プログラムの忍容性の検証、②ケースコントロール研究：介入プログラムの有効性の検討、の2つから構成されている。本申請課題は、食道癌領域で求められる新しい支持療法の開発につながるだけでなく、国内外におけるがん患者の高齢化対策にとっても重要な研究でもあり、世界に向けた新しいエビデンス創出に寄与するものである。
