Outline of Research at the Start	本研究は、小学校や教育会などの実施主体が1930年代に実施した野外教育を対象に、地域性を活かした活動に着目して比較史的に分析し、①野外教育実施の地域的要因、②地域に見出した教育的価値、③実施者の子ども観と問題意識、④野外教育論の特質、⑤内容及び工夫、について明らかにする。さらに個別実践を比較的・総体的に分析し、教育的特色や意義、日本の野外教育史における1930年代の実践の位置づけ、地域性を活かした活動のあり方を究明する。具体的な研究方法としては、北海道、富山県、東京府、京都府、大阪府、香川県等を対象地域に設定し、対象地域の学校や文書館、図書館等における資料収集と、収集資料の分析を実施する。
