Outline of Research at the Start

脳卒中などによって片側の手足に運動麻痺が生じたとき、運動トレーニングを高頻度で数多く反復することが医学的リハビリテーションの標準となっている。しかしながら、大きなコストとストレスを伴うため、より効果的な技術の探求が続けられている。近年、そのような技術の一つとして、麻痺のない側の手足のトレーニングが麻痺側の手足の運動機能を高める現象が注目されている。本研究では、この現象に関する基礎的な知見を得るため、片側上肢の強い筋収縮を伴う運動がその後に行う反対側上肢の運動パフォーマンスに及ぼす効果を、非侵襲的方法で運動学的かつ神経生理学的に明らかにする。
