Outline of Research at the Start

子どもの頃に複数のスポーツを経験して、その後に専門とする競技を選択していく、いわゆるマルチスポーツの考え方が国際的には普及しているが、日本ではまだ浸透していない。1つの競技に早期に専門化することに利点もあるが、燃え尽き、オーバーユース、勝利至上主義に繋がる可能性もある。わが国にマルチスポーツが普及すれば、競技力向上、健康増進、支える側の負担減などに結びつく可能性も期待される。本研究では、マルチスポーツの考え方の普及に貢献すべく多角的な研究調査を実施し、みる・ささえるスポーツにも資する研究を行う。
