Outline of Research at the Start

代謝機能障害関連脂肪性肝疾患は一般的には脂肪肝と呼ばれます。慢性肝炎・肝硬変・肝癌の原因となるばかりでなく、糖尿病や動脈硬化の原因にもなります。原因は肝臓への異常な脂肪蓄積ですが、それを正確に知るためには特別な画像検査を行うか、肝臓の組織を見る（肝生検）しかありません。我々の研究目的は、血液中の脂肪酸濃度から肝脂肪蓄積量を反映する指標を開発し、日常臨床で利用できるようにすることです。
