Outline of Research at the Start

肥満の原因の一つとなる高脂肪食の摂取が胃粘膜過形成を引き起こし、胃粘膜肥厚を誘導することが知られているが、申請者らはこの胃粘膜過形成による粘膜肥厚がオキシトシン(OXT)の慢性投与で改善することを明らかにしている。 さらに申請者らは胃酸を分泌する壁細胞特異的にOXT受容体(OXTR)が発現していること、高脂肪食負荷で低下した壁細胞のミトコンドリアマーカーがOXTの慢性投与で回復することを見出している。胃壁細胞に発現しているOXTRの役割についての報告は皆無であり、その機能については全く分かっていない。本研究は胃壁細胞に発現するOXTRの生理的・病態的役割を急性および慢性効果の観点から明らかにすることである。
