Outline of Research at the Start

申請者はこれまでに、リン脂質の一種であるビスモノアシルグリセロリン酸（BMP）が老化に伴い全身で増加することを見出しているものの、その生理的役割は未だ明らかにされていない。そこで本研究では、老化に伴うBMPの増加メカニズムの解明に加え、老化の特徴の一つであるオートファジー異常に着目し、BMPが老化において果たす役割を解析する。本研究により老化の分子基盤への理解が深まり、将来的には新たな老化制御法の確立につながることが期待される。
