Outline of Research at the Start	近年高齢化が進むことでがんや高血圧、神経変性疾患などの罹患率増加に伴うQOL低下や医療費拡大が進行しており、社会的な解決課題の１つとして注目されている。これまでこれら加齢性疾患の発症原因の１つである老化細胞に着目し、老化細胞選択的除去による健康寿命の延伸を目指してきた。しかしむやみに老化細胞を除去してしまうと生体に障害がもたらされることが報告された。そこで本研究では、ヘテロな細胞集団である老化細胞のうち、生体にとって不利益をもたらす老化細胞の特徴を明らかにし、より副作用リスクを軽減させた老化細胞除去の方法論確立を目指す。
