Outline of Research at the Start

生後から離乳期にかけて、肝細胞は脂質代謝をはじめとした多種多様な代謝酵素の発現をダイナミックに増加させることで機能的に成熟する。肝細胞によるエネルギー代謝や解毒は生体において不可欠であるため、肝細胞は離乳までに母体から供給される栄養の変化に柔軟に適応し、その機能を成熟させる必要がある。本研究では、哺乳動物における必須脂肪酸であるオメガ３・６脂肪酸に着目し、周産期におけるこれらの脂肪酸の供給不足が、子の肝細胞の成熟や将来の肝疾患リスクに与える影響とその分子機構を明らかにする。
