Outline of Research at the Start	過敏性腸症候群（irritable bowel syndrome: IBS）は代表的な機能性腸障害の一つであり、ストレスで発症・悪化するケースが多い消化器系心身症でもある。本研究では、大規模サンプル（労働者）の爪試料からIBSの病態にかかわることが推定されるホルモン（コルチゾール、デヒドロエピアンドロステロン、メラトニン）を測定することで、①IBS保有者におけるそれらのホルモンの長期的なプロフィールの特徴、②それらの値と腹部症状や心理社会的因子の関連を検討する。
