Outline of Research at the Start

老化や加齢性疾患は細胞老化が基盤となって起こる。したがって細胞老化のメカニズム解明とその制御法を確立することは、健康寿命を延長し「生活の質（QOL）」の向上に重要である。本研究では、老化や加齢性疾患で出現する老化細胞のタンパク質凝集体と脂肪滴に着目し、これらが、細胞老化にどのように関わるのかを明らかにすることを目指す。そのため、タンパク質凝集体と脂肪滴をそれぞれを単独で発現させ、それぞれが形成されるメカニズムや、お互いの形成に及ぼす影響と細胞老化における役割を明らかにする。本研究成果は、新たな細胞老化メカニズムの発見が期待され、老化や加齢性疾患の予防・治療法開発に有益な情報を提供できる。
