Outline of Research at the Start	やけどやケガなどによって皮膚が創傷することは日常的に経験している。健康な人であれば、その傷はすぐに治癒する。しかし、高齢者が多く罹患している糖尿病では、高血糖による血行不良を原因とする慢性創傷となる。本研究は、高齢の糖尿病患者を想定した慢性創傷のモデルラットを作製する。その作製したモデル動物にエラスチンペプチドの適応させる条件を探索する。これらを実施・検討することで、慢性創傷を速やか、かつ、きれいに治して健全な皮膚を取り戻す機能性素材候補としての有効性を明らかにする。
