Outline of Research at the Start

申請者らは、深層学習で成人発症糖尿病が5つのサブクラスに階層化されることを日本人で初めて示した。5つのサブクラスには、糖尿病発症（発症年齢、体重推移、家族歴、自己抗体、インスリン分泌能、インスリン抵抗性）や合併症・併存症で特徴的な様式があり、特に食行動・身体特性に顕著な違いがあることを突き止めた。現在、各サブクラスの基盤病態は世界的に未解明である。本研究課題では、新規糖尿病サブクラスの食行動・身体活動性の違いを遺伝的背景とともに検証することで疾患表現系を抽出し（図 疾患表現系の抽出）、それぞれの基盤病態を推定して動物実験等で解明することを目指す。
