Outline of Research at the Start

連続型多変量の分布をモデリングするときに，コピュラは変量間の相関構造を表すためによく用いられる．ノンパラメットリックなコピュラはデータ背後の分布を仮定することなく，使いやすいというメリットがある．その中に，B-splineコピュラは柔軟性が高く，幅広い分野で活用できると期待される一方で， 良い推定量を導くために，目的に応じて，適切な罰則関数を導入する必要がある．本研究はB-splineコピュラのパラメータを推定するために，罰則付きEMアルゴリズムやニュートン法などを用いて考察する．またパラメータ行列（または配列）のサイズや罰則関数におけるハイパーパラメータも推定する．
