Outline of Research at the Start

文字入替効果といった読みの錯覚現象は、 無意味綴りでも確認されているが、この現象は視覚処理には問題のない難読症の患者などでは見られないことから、視覚的な処理段階や文字列 のボトムアップ処理に起因すると考えることでは説明できず、読解に特有のプロセス(トップダウン処理)が言葉の意味が伝わりやすいように、視覚に共通的なプロセス(ボトムアップ処理)をサポートした結果、錯覚が起こっていると考えられる。そこで本研究では、読みにおける錯覚現象(例:文字入替効果)を使用し、個人差に配慮しながら、主に読みの視覚的処理に焦点を当て、その読み理解をスムーズにする錯覚現象の生起条件を明らかにする。
