Outline of Research at the Start

本研究では、幅広い年齢層を対象とした、ろう者および健常者が楽しみながら手話を学ぶためのインタラクティブな手話学習支援システムの開発を目指す。提案するシステムは指文字を対象とし、反復練習、理解度テストのサイクルを初歩段階から徐々にレベルを上げながら学習していける。反復練習では、文字と参考画像をディスプレイに表示し、学習者はその画像に自分の手指が一致するように合わせる。理解度テストでは、画面に表示された文字に対して、学習者が対応する手話動作をカメラの前で行う。このとき、手話の正確さを採点する機能を搭載する。このように、学習者とシステム側がインタラクティブに学習を進めることができる。
